Martin Luther King Jr. Day

“Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”

I saw Selma this past weekend. It was a powerful film. Disturbing and hard to watch. I don't handle violence well. It sticks with me and keeps me awake. But some things demand your attention. Demand to be remembered. To disturb you.

Let us always move forward but never forget what is behind us.
